"Recipe For Success"
By Ralph Moore © 2004
Every success story begins with a recipe. Here's one for
for you. (Trust me. There is a point to all of this, so
please keep reading.)
My "Perfect" Apple Pie Recipe (the simple way)
Ingredients:
Crust - 1 (15-oz.) pkg. (2) frozen pie crusts (thawed)
(Note: I said simple. For arguably better crust start from
"scratch" with a good crust recipe.)
Filling - 3/4 cup sugar, 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour,
3/4 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. nutmeg,
1 Tbsp. lemon juice, 5 - 6 cups sliced, peeled apples
Directions:
Prepare pie crust as directed on package for a two-crust
pie when using a 9-inch pie pan.
Heat oven to 425 degrees. In a large bowl, add the filling
ingredients except for the lemon juice and apples; mix well.
Gently add the lemon juice and apples, mixing well, and
spoon the mixture into the bottom pie crust. Top with the
second pie crust and seal the edges. Make six to eight
1/2 inch slits in the top of the pie crust to allow the
steam to escape.
Dot the top of the crust with several 1 inch patties of
butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon.
Bake at 425 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes, or until the
apples are tender and the crust is a golden brown.
(By the way, I actually followed this recipe last week,
and it was delicious!)
Have you ever wondered why some people seem to have that
"Midas Touch"? It seems that for some people, everything
that they touch just "turns to gold".
In reality, it turns out that successful people are quite
often simply following a recipe - a plan for success.
Follow a pie recipe, and you get a delicious pie. Follow
a business recipe, and you get a successful business.
A powerful example of this can be seen by taking a look at
the McDonald's(tm) fast-food chain.
When Ray Kroc secured the master franchise rights to the
McDonalds(tm) business, he began developing a very detailed,
(yet SIMPLE) system, or recipe, that could be reproduced
over and over again, anywhere in the world.
I discovered just how well this worked in the spring of
1974, when I was serving with the U.S. Air Force. I was
"invited" to spend 3 months "TDY" (temporary duty) on the
island of Guam, in the Northern Pacific Ocean.
Shortly after I got settled in there, I had the chance to
visit what was at that time, the largest McDonald's(tm)
restuarant in the world.
I walked in and ordered a Big Mac(tm). Other than the palm
trees swaying outside, and the obvious fact that I was
somewhere I had never been before, the sandwich and the
experience were absolutely identical to what I had known
before.
At that moment, I realized that McDonald's(tm) was far more
than just another fast food restuarant.
By using the same ingredients (imported from the U.S.) and
by following the same process, down to the very last detail,
McDonald's(tm) has built the single most successful hamburger
chain in the world.
By starting with the right products and by following a
simple recipe, a plan for success, you too can achieve
successful results, far beyond anything you have ever
imagined.

Internet Law Compliance System
"At Last, The Plain Truth For eBusiness Owners
About The Legal Requirements For Doing Business
On The Internet!"
If you are doing ANY kind of business on the Internet,
you basically have two choices:
1. You can continue to violate the law, ignore reality
and take unnecessary risks.
2. You can spend about one hour complying with the law and
protect your business.
Choose wisely, because your business depends upon it.
If you operate an "ebusiness", you're required to comply
with certain laws, rules and regulations. Ignorance of the
laws is no excuse and won't save you in a legal dispute.
Just because you didn't mean to violate the law doesn't
mean that you're innocent.
Why take unnecessary risks, when you can eliminate the
consequences that could devastate you, your family and your
business?
You can simply and easily be in compliance one hour from
now, so you can concentrate on growing your business safely
and securely.
The Internet Law Compliance System provides the answers
and guarantees you can bulletproof your site in 60 minutes
or less.
Get protected now.

What was Bob buying?

Answer to Last Issue's Puzzler...
[Bob went to the hardware store to make a purchase.
He asked the store clerk, "How much does one cost?"
"Three dollars, said the clerk." Bob asked "What will
twelve cost me?" "Six dollars", replied the clerk.
"Okay, what about 125, asked Bob?" The clerk told him
"Nine dollars, total."
What was Bob buying?]
House numbers. Bob's new house is at 125 Maple Street.
