Here is a simple way of using command line parameters, to
force Windows Explorer to open in a specific folder, every
time the program is launched.

If you would like Windows Explorer to open a folder called
"Software", located in the root directory of drive c: then
do the following:

1. Right-click the desktop and select New / Shortcut
2. Select "Browse" from the Create Shortcut wizard
3. Locate the Windows folder, select Explorer.exe and
   click OK
4. Place your cursor at the end of the command line, press
the spacebar and type /e, d:\Software
5. Click Next, give the shortcut a name, and click Finish

"Exit Ramps to Success!"
By Ralph Moore (c)2003

In Western Massachusetts, there is a scenic road called
the Taconic Parkway.

While vacationing with my family many years ago, we found
ourselves enjoying the quiet drive, surrounded by the
natural beauty of the area.

Winding through the countryside, it almost seemed as if we
had entered into another world, to a more peaceful time
and place.

As we neared the end of the road, we found ourselves wishing
that we didn't have to leave our comfortable surroundings.

But, reluctantly we took the exit ramp, in order to move
on to our final goal of Maine, my wife's home state.

The point of all of this is that just as we encountered on
our trip, in order to get where you are going, whether it's
a holiday, business or life in general, often you must leave
your comfort zone and take the "exit ramp" to reach your
final destination.

As we go through life, whenever "mountains" seem to appear
out of nowhere, we can either choose to view them only as
more obstacles to be overcome, or realize that there just
might be something better on the other side.

"Life affords no higher pleasure than that of surmounting
difficulties, passing from one step of success to another,
forming new wishes and seeing them gratified."
--Samuel Johnson

Ultimately, it is often our attitude that determines
whether we are living a life of success or one of failure.

And like it or not, we are in charge of our attitudes.

Because we have free will, we can always choose to change
our attitudes and look on the positive side of life, no
matter where we happen to be.

It is easy to be thankful for what we have, and where we
are, when we realize that there are others less fortunate
than ourselves.

One of life's lessons is that change is inevitable. We can
fight it or we can try to see it coming and plan ahead to
make the necessary corrections, so that we end up wherever
it is that we want to be.

"Life belongs to the living, and he who lives must be
prepared for changes." --Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

In my life, I have discovered "exit ramps" all along the
way. Sometimes I have taken one just to see where it might
lead. At other times I have found myself headed in a new
direction, and wondering "How did I end up here?"

Regardless of where you happen to be right now, or in your
"personal quest for success", remember this; Change is a
very real part of life.

It is up to you to determine what your attitude will be,
and to move on so that you can reach your destination.

Decide right now that the changes in your life will only be
"Exit Ramps to Success!"

"How to Build Your Own Mastermind Group
to Catapult Your Success"
- Free eBook
By Martin Avis

"Way back in 1908 a guy named Napoleon Hill was commissioned
by Andrew Carnegie (then the richest man in the world) to
interview the 504 most successful people of his day.

The objective was to find what success has in common.

His book, 'Think and Grow Rich' finally came out in 1937
and outlined the '13 Principles' that Hill's long years of
research had identified as being common to every successful
person.

One of those principles was that of the Master Mind Group.

Now there is a new ebook that takes the whole concept of
Mastermind Groups and shows, in simple to follow terms,
exactly how you can apply this most successful of success
strategies in your own life.

This short book contains a wealth of information:

A simple strategy that can catapult your own success

How the power of mental multiplication can answer any
question (no math involved!)

Why you are like a cell-phone and how to make perfect
connections

Learn the secret that has been "the basis of every great
fortune"

Discover the Ultimate Wealth Creation Tool

A surprising, but highly effective source of advice - 24/7

How you can open the floodgates to infinite new ideas

And much more ...

Feel good about yourself even before you download the book!

How to Build Your Mastermind Group to Catapult Your Success
is unique in another respect. 100% of the profits from the
book will go to charity.

The author, Martin Avis tells this story:

What I want to do is to sell my ebook 'How to Build Your
Own Mastermind Group to Catapult Your Success' entirely on
behalf of the Starlight Foundation charity. 100% of the
money I receive for this book, after Paypal fees, will be
donated.

The Starlight Foundation does not try to find the cures for
the many diseases that children succumb to. They are not a
medical charity. These wonderful people, who are mostly
volunteers, try to bring a little happiness into the lives
of children whose lives have little joy left.

They grant wishes. They provide entertainment in hospitals
and hospices. They organize outings and activities for those
children who are able. They help over 100,000 children every
month in over 1,000 hospitals worldwide."

So what can we do to help?

The author has agreed to allow webmasters to offer the ebook
as a free download. Grab the book. Read it. And if you feel
so inclined, as I did, click the link in the book and make
a donation of whatever amount you feel good about.

(He suggests $7.50, but any amount will help and you can
certainly give more if you desire.) Anyway, it's a great
book. Here is the link:

Go to this site and see just where you stand in the great
big scheme of things. I think you will be surprised, if not
shocked. (Maybe this has something to do with why much of the

Answer to Last Issue's Puzzler...

[Six glasses are sitting in a row. The first three are full
of water. The last three are empty. By moving only one,
how can you end up with alternating empty and full glasses?]

Pick up the second glass, pour the water into the fifth
glass, and set it back in it's original place.
